There’s a lot of detail to be firmed up and we will certainly adjust as we go, but we have a rough plan for our 2027 RV travels.
We’ll leave the cabin in January after spending holidays with family, and stay on the road until the fall.
It’s exciting to be at this point.
This trip moves more quickly than we’ve done in the past, which partly reflects the realities of stops where we won’t have hookups. There’s more primitive camping and boondocking on this itinerary than we’ve done before – which I’m looking forward to. But we’re expecting we’ll need to drive somewhat more often so we can charge the batteries.
Another change versus our past trips is that we are going to leave the Bronco at the cabin. We’ve always had a secondary vehicle — the truck with the 5th wheel and the Bronco with the van. But we’ve done some limited testing and we think it’ll work well to travel with just the van. It’ll be a different approach that will impact several elements…having to move the entire “house” to do laundry or go to the grocery…but we think overall it will be the best approach.
The 2027 plan does’t have a lot of overlap of places we’ve been before, from this post.

So, once again, embracing my word of the year with this plan: Onward!
