Embracing being “Plans Optional”

It has been a while since I’ve provided an update, despite that I have several ideas for posts floating around my head. But whenever I go to put them on the site, I invariably have been drawn to another activity that seems like it’d be more fun. So the site has gone in-loved for a little bit.

And at the end of the day, the blog isn’t a job or a responsibility. It’s something I want to do and if I painting or hiking or playing a game draws my interest more strongly on any given day, then so be it.

Living a “plans optional” retirement lifestyle that’s more spontaneous and free has to involve giving myself permission to move this way between hobbies and interests. And honestly, it feels pretty good.

I haven’t stopped posting or given up on the blog in any way. I’m just embracing the titular ethos.
